Teaching

As a member of UBC Sauder’s faculty I teach negotiations and introductory organizational behaviour to bachelor-level business school students and qualitative methods to PhD students. I have also previously taught management courses such asĀ Power and Politics in (and beyond) Organizations, Executive Leadership, and Negotiations for MBA students.

I also have extensive experience as an instructor in sociology, where I have taught introductory sociology, sociological methods, and various substantive courses covering culture, theory, organizations, and social psychology.

In 2015, the UCLA Academic Senate awarded me the Distinguished Teaching Award, which is the university’s highest award for classroom instruction.

You can feel free to use the syllabi linked on this site to help model your courses. If you do choose to do so, please contact me to let me know (a) if they helped in the end, (b) what the students liked/hated/tolerated, and (c) what you did to improve or build on them. I could totally use the feedback.
